Kevin Durant put on his Superman cape on Tuesday night to save the badly depleted Brooklyn Nets against the Toronto Raptors in overtime, 131-129.
With several teammates sideline due to the NBA's COVID-19 protocols, Durant once again seized the opportunity to spearhead the Nets. He finished with a massive triple-double of 34 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists to follow up his monster 51-point explosion against the Detroit Pistons.
Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless heaped praise on KD on Twitter after the Nets' win, but somehow, someway, as he's done throughout his career, he also insulted Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James in the process.
But instead of siding with Bayless, Durant blasted him with a five-word burn.
Just by that alone, Durant should be given the MVP trophy right now.
Bayless has been obsessed with LeBron for how many years now. He has made it a crusade to take shots at the Lakers forward every chance he gets. While KD has stayed mum about it, it looks like he's finally had enough.
While the Nets star does look like the best player on the planet right now, LeBron still has something to say about that. He was recently named Western Conference Player of the Week after posting huge numbers for the Lakers, who are slowly gaining steam.
Kevin Durant and the Nets, who improved to 20-8, will host the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday.
