Brooklyn Nets All-Star Kyrie Irving and the fine designers at Nike have come together for the release of a SpongeBob-inspired line of shoes, according to B/R Kicks.

Nike's SpongeBob SquarePants x Kyrie collection is scheduled to be released on Saturday and will feature colorways related to five characters on the popular show: SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy and Mr. Krabs. Retail price will start at $130, according to Maxim.

The detail put into each variant is evident. SpongeBob's distinct hew is there, as are Squidward's tentacles. And if you look closely, you'll notice a smushed Plankton on the side of the Mr. Krabs colorway:

According to Bleacher Report, Irving celebrated the release of the SpongeBob line at Dyckman Basketball Court, a legendary setting in New York City:

The Nets signed Irving to a four-year deal this offseason. He should be an excellent addition to the team's roster, and ownership is happy to have him on board. The former No. 1 overall pick made 67 appearances with the Celtics last season (all starts), racking up averages of 23.8 points on 48.7 percent shooting from the field (40.1 percent from beyond the arc), 6.9 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 33. minutes per outing:

“Kyrie is one of the NBA’s elite guards and has won at the highest level,” Nets General Manager Sean Marks told NBA.com after Irving's signing. “His championship pedigree, coupled with his gifted scoring and playmaking abilities, will make him an outstanding addition to our team. We’re very excited to welcome Kyrie and his family to Brooklyn.”

The Nets will have high expectations with Irving in place, and those expectations will only grow once Kevin Durant gets healthy.
