Kyrie Irving had fans buzzing about his latest appearance on Instagram live. The Brooklyn Nets guard finally broke his silence on everything that's been circulating on his Covid-19 vaccine stance, which arguably raised more questions than it actually answered.

Despite the media frenzy that Irving's livestream drew, at least one person closely involved admitted it didn't even pique his interest – Nets head coach Steve Nash.

Via Brian Lewis of the New York Post:

“I didn't really listen to it. And I think I've pretty much said everything I have to say about it. If something changes, we can talk about it; but I really want to focus on moving forward and our group and solutions to the challenge ahead of us.”

Nash clearly wants to divert the spotlight away from the Kyrie Irving drama and instead key in on the Nets that are actually set to compete this season without any complications.

“When you lose an exceptional talent like that, your roster is built in a certain way over the parameters of having three guys,” said the Nets coach. “So everyone has to slide up a spot, so to speak, or more. So we have to win with corporate knowledge, growth from last season, connectivity, team spirit and building those bonds that I think transfer on the court and off.”

The potential loss of Kyrie Irving will be huge for the Brooklyn Nets, especially if it keeps him out for the entire season. But as Steve Nash pointed out, there's no point in sulking over what they'll be missing.

The Nets added veteran and NBA champion Patty Mills on their roster and should be able to fill in admirably at the point guard spot with Irving. They may not be at full strength without Kyrie, but they're more than equipped to garner success nonetheless.
