The Brooklyn Nets are in the midst of a first-round playoff series against the Boston Celtics. In Game 1, Nets guard Kyrie Irving reminded everyone who incredible of a basketball player he is. He dropped 39 points, 18 of which coming in the fourth quarter. He almost single handedly led the Nets back from a 15-point deficit for the road victory. However, Jayson Tatum hit a buzzer-beater layup, sending the Nets into a 1-0 series deficit.

In the loss, Nets superstar Kevin Durant struggled with his shot, knocking down only nine of his 24 shot attempts. However, everyone is expecting a much better effort. That's because just about any basketball fans how incredibly talented Durant is.

Well, former NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady took that to a new level.

McGrady appeared on “Club Shay Shay” with Shannon Sharpe to talk NBA playoffs. He ended up making quite the bold claim. Sharpe asked him if the Nets' duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are the most talented teammates in NBA history.

“Without a doubt. Without a shadow of a doubt. I haven't seen a pair, a duo that skilled… maybe Mike and Pipp (Scottie Pippen)… there's no other dynamic duo that compares to KD and Kyrie… even if you look at what LeBron and D-Wade (Dwayne Wade) was, skill wise, they still not touching them two boys.”

McGrady and Sharpe both acknowledge Brooklyn's two-headed monster have incredible skill with the ball in their hands. Both Durant and Irving can finish at the rim efficiently. But the Nets' forward, being a seven-footer, with his ability to shoot the ball from where he does is off the charts.

Nevertheless, Pippen's offensive game is severely underrated historically. It's easy to overlook when everyone thinks about Pippen's defense. He is still considered possibly the best on-ball defender of all-time. But he also had a scoring prowess. He just was overshadowed by Jordan's brilliance.

McGrady clearly states that James and Wade cannot compare. In his defense, Wade himself retweeted the clip with a sign that he agrees.

“And that is not a dig. Them 2 dudes are SKILLED af!”

An argument can clearly be made that the two Brooklyn boys are incredibly skilled. But anytime you put someone on a list ahead of Jordan and James, you will raise some eyebrows.
