Brooklyn Nets center Jarrett Allen has been turning heads this season, thanks to his impressive blocks on superstars like Anthony Davis, LeBron James and Blake Griffin. However, the young defensive stalwart also has his flaws.

During the first few minutes of their game against the Toronto Raptors, Jarrett Allen received a pass from Nets teammate Joe Harris off a pick and roll. He had an easy path to the basket and, of course, wanted to finish the play with a dunk.

This time, the rim decided it was his turn to block Allen's shot for no particular reason.

Yup. Allen just missed a wide open dunk.

He caught a bit of a break though, as the ball bounced high off the rim and fell onto the hands of D'Angelo Russell, who calmly made a 3-point shot.

D'Angelo Russell did not go after the ball. He was at the right spot at the right time.

The Nets seems to be doing a lot of right things recently, that is why they're back in the playoff race in the Eastern Conference.

The basketball gods are seemingly in favor of the Nets as of late. Otherwise, how would you explain what happened there?
