Oklahoma Sooners star and Heisman winning quarterback Kyler Murray recently decided to forego his baseball career, at least for now, and enter the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville.

Murray was outstanding during his last year with Oklahoma, passing for 4,361 yards, 42 touchdowns, and ran for 1,001 yards as well. So far Murray has already broken the top-10 on several mock drafts, and it’s obvious his talents could be an instant difference maker.

The Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, and even the New England Patriots are teams that could be targeting Murray pending where his stock value is in the draft going forward.

Murray led the Sooners to a matchup against Alabama late in the season in which the Crimson Tide won handily. However, Murray was fantastic and showed great leadership this past season. Murray likely will have a solid outing at the combine, but there are still other quarterbacks in this year’s draft who are more heavily touted than Murray. Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins is projected to go sixth overall by the New York Giants, and Haskins appears to be the most complete at his position as of right now.

The 2019 NFL Draft will be full of talent as usual, and it will be exciting to see where the most recent Heisman winner will play in the NFL. There must be something in the water in Oklahoma as last year’s number one overall pick and former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield won the Heisman the year prior.
