The 2019 NFL Draft has officially come and gone, which can only mean one thing — it is now time to look ahead to 2020! Despite the upcoming college football season still several months from getting underway, the early odds for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft have already surfaced with current Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as the favorite over Justin Herbert, according to BetOnline.ag.

With Tagovailoa coming in at +250 to come off the board before anyone else next spring, current Oregon Ducks signal caller Justin Herbert is now slightly behind his Alabama counterpart at +350. Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm is at +400, Ohio State Buckeyes Chase Young is at +700. Auburn Tigers defensive Tackle Derrick Brown, at +700, rounds out the rest of the top five as it stands today.

Of course, former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray was just selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft with a slew of defensive players immediately coming off the board behind the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. Similar to 2019, former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback and former Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield was selected at No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2018.

Although Alabama often produces top talent at just about every position on the football field, it is not often that the Crimson Tide encounter a highly sought future NFL quarterback such as Tagovailoa. Also expected to win the Heisman Trophy in 2019, Tagovailoa is coming off his first go-round as the full-time starter for the Crimson Tide.
