Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins may very well be the best pure passer in this year's NFL Draft class, but in a league where quarterback mobility is becoming more and more sought after, some teams are worried about Haskins' lack of speed.

Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer understands that Haskins does not have top-end quickness, but he thinks he is plenty athletic enough to be just fine at the NFL level:

“40-yard dash time, it is what it is,” said Meyer, according to JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington. “He’s athletic enough to get out of trouble. He’s not a runner, he’s not a Kyler Murray or something like that, but he’s also 6-foot-4-plus and throws dimes. We’ve had first-round draft picks, we’ve had Heisman candidates and Heisman winners, and Dwayne’s as prepared as any of them.”

Haskins is considered by some to actually be the best signal-caller of a bunch that includes Kyler Murray, Drew Lock, and Daniel Jones.

The 21-year-old is coming off of a terrific sophomore campaign in which he threw for 4,831 yards, 50 touchdowns, and eight interceptions while completing 70 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 174.1.

So, while he only rushed for 108 yards and four scores this past season, his passing ability should more than make up for what he can't do on the ground.

Haskins is expected to be taken sometime within the first round of the draft on Thursday, although there are apparently some who feel that he is not even a first-round talent.

Still, it would be a bit of a surprise to see Haskins slide past the first 32 picks.
