There’s a strong chance that quarterbacks will be flying off the board once the 2018 NFL Draft begins. The established “big four” prospects – Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, and Josh Rosen – could all be gone within the first 10 picks.

But if there’s someone within that group that likely falls out of the top 10, people around the league believe it’ll be Rosen, according to Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com.

When I bring up this topic with personnel executives, Rosen is the one they point to as the most likely slider of the group. I personally believe Rosen is the second-best quarterback in the draft class behind Darnold, but the former Bruins QB might fall out of the top 10. Why? Part of it comes back to the durability concerns for Rosen that we've heard about throughout the process. We'll continue to hear people question his intangibles as a leader, but that's far less of a concern than the fact that he missed half his sophomore year with a shoulder injury and suffered two concussions last season.

In terms of sheer physical tools, Rosen seemingly ticks all the boxes teams want to see from a prototypical quarterback. He’s got the size, the arm strength, and the athleticism to become a star in the league. He's also got terrific mechanics and good accuracy.

However, it does make sense that concerns about his durability could potentially outweigh those impressive physical gifts. His growing history of concussions is particularly worrisome.

It remains to be seen whether those concerns actually do see Rosen slide in the draft. But given his significant upside when healthy, it seems unlikely that Rosen will drop too far down the draft board if he does somehow go fall out of the top 10.
