Hall of Fame NFL wide receiver Michael Irvin does a lot of things well. He's one of the greatest wide receivers of all-time, a true Dallas Cowboys legend. A lot of people like him as a commentator and he's was surprisingly great in his role in the The Longest Yard remake.

All that being said, there are some things he's not so good at. And it appears we've found one. Irvin took to Twitter on Thursday to call out a beer brand. Why did he call them out, you ask?

Well because it was Corona. And he felt they shouldn't be airing commercials while the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is happening. Yep, you heard that right.

It's really hard to tell if this is just an absolutely terrible joke, or if Irvin really believes what he's saying.

You could give him the benefit of the doubt and call it a joke because of the terrible rhyme.

“Sorry I don’t want to hear how a Corona gets it’s lime while the Coronavirus is getting lives.”

That sounds like a really bad version of someone jokingly tweeting, saying that Fabolous is sprinting to a studio to put it into a song.

Coronavirus is already dangerous. It doesn't help when public figures are posting nonsense like this. There was already that report from a little while back that people weren't buying Corona because of the virus, thinking there was a connection.

Now Irvin is tweeting that they shouldn't be airing commercials. He's not necessarily saying they are connected, but it feels like he's blaming them. And even if he isn't there's no reason they should call off all commercials because of something that has absolutely nothing to do with them.

We are certainly in very odd times. Add NFL legend Michael Irvin berating Corona on Twitter during the unrelated coronavirus pandemic to the list.
