Former Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Malik McDowell hasn't found another job in the NFL and his path probably has gotten more difficult. According to Mike Martindale of the Detroit News, McDowell is facing charges for operating a vehicle while intoxicated,  receiving and concealing stolen property, resisting arrest, and assault.

McDowell is expected to appear before a judge Thursday in Oakland County. Back in February, McDowell was stopped on suspicion of drunk driving and fled from the officer. He was eventually tasered by an officer and it took a second officer to arrest him.

In April, a truck was stolen from a Ford Motor Company overflow lot in Dearborn and it was traced to McDowell's residence. He told officers he bought the $74,000 Ford Raptor for $3,000 off the street.

McDowell was a second-round pick by the Seahawks in 2017 but never saw the field after suffering a serious injury during an ATV accident. In March the team released him and is now suing him to try and get some of the signing bonus back.

One of the big questions before the legal issues surrounding McDowell is if he has been cleared to play in the NFL again. The Seahawks and Pete Carroll said that they couldn't clear McDowell, but his agent Drew Rosenhaus said that his client has been cleared to play.
