This past weekend wide receiver Demaryius Thomas formerly of the Houston Texans was involved in a serious car accident, and now we have new details, as TMZ Sports has obtained photos of the crash.

After looking at the photos TMZ has, it's a miracle that Thomas escaped without major injuries. A witness told TMZ that the car was launched into the air, and “rolled three times before finally landing in a grassy median.”

Thomas and both of his passengers are expected to make full recoveries, and Thomas himself only sustained a few bumps and bruises. The photos show the car completely caved in. News of the crash came just days after he was released by the Texans. Thomas has been on a bit of a bad luck streak recently, as his lone season in Houston was ended when he tore his Achilles after just three games with his new team.

Thomas, a first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2010, spent the first eight and a half years of his career in Denver before they traded him to the Texans for a fourth-round pick at the trade deadline. Thomas is 31 now and doesn't have the same explosiveness he had early in his career, but he's remained a productive receiver nonetheless. In his last healthy season in 2017, he racked up 949 yards and five touchdowns, which snapped a streak of five straight seasons with at least 1,000 yards.

Getting up there in age and coming off a torn Achilles, Thomas will likely be met with a quiet, free agent market this Spring. He'll almost certainly have to settle for a one-year prove it deal from a team looking for veteran receiver help.

The Patriots were reportedly very interested in trading for him at this year's deadline, so it's possible he could end up in New England.
