After he was released by the Los Angeles Rams, DeSean Jackson is now planning out the next steps for his NFL career. At 34 years old, there is still some interest in his services, but some couldn't help but think he is pondering retirement.

However, as Mike Garofolo of NFL Network reported, Jackson has “no plans” to retire at all and is, in fact, exploring his options as he searches for a new team. Seven teams are apparently interested in acquiring him, and the veteran wide receiver has started discussions with the said franchises.

While he is expected to sign with a team sooner rather than later, he is also not rushing the process and could even wait it out after fellow NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was also waived. After all, the teams who want to get Jackson's services could also be looking at OBJ .

The Las Vegas Raiders have reportedly already talked with DeSean Jackson, though there is no decision made on possibly signing him. For what it's worth, Las Vegas is also one of the odds-on favorites to land Beckham after his release from the Cleveland Browns.

Jackson saw his role on the Rams decrease, which is why the Rams found him indispensable. The team failed to find a trade partner for him at the deadline, so he was eventually waived. However, while he is at the tail-end of his NFL career, there is no doubt he still has plenty of gas left in the tank.

While Jackson might wait and check his options, it is pretty much clear he will return to the field for a chance to contend for the Super Bowl title.
