We have had such an overwhelming outpouring of love for our son since the news broke of our loss. Anyone who knew Dwayne knows he worked exceptionally hard to achieve such a high level of success at such a young age. He was touched by so many people on his journey to being a standout athlete and we are grateful to all of them. This pain is unimaginable and we appreciate everyone who shares in our heartbreak.

One can only imagine the pain they are enduring at the moment. The quarterback's hard work, as mentioned by his parents in the statement, is something many have remembered him for over the last few days. Specifically from the moment he got to Pittsburgh, Dwayne Haskins seemed happy to be where he was at.

Haskins' parents also announced there would be multiple memorial services, including in New Jersey and Maryland. He grew up in New Jersey before moving to Potomac, Maryland for his high school years. Bullis High School will be retiring Haskins' jersey after his phenomenal career there.

Dwayne Haskins was enjoying a week down in Florida, getting work in with his Steelers teammates before the accident. Quarterback Mitch Trubisky had the team to his place to build chemistry. The death continues to be tragic in multiple ways as more details continue to come out.
