NFL investigators have not yet interviewed wide receiver Antonio Browns for his rape/sexual assault allegations, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

As Fowler mentions, Brown is a free agent, so it's unknown how cooperative he would be during interviews. Though an elite NFL player, there has been no reported interest in him since his release from the New England Patriots.

As a player with little interest on the open market, Brown would likely need to participate in interviews to get a shot of playing in the NFL again. Teams are wary of the mercurial wide receiver due to his tumultuous offseason and the rape/sexual assault allegations; until that gets cleared up, he'll stay job-less.

After his release from the Patriots, Brown put on Twitter that he's done with the NFL. He later changed his mind. Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said there are teams interested in signing him, post-verdict.

The NFL did not place Brown on the Commissioner-Exempt list. However, that could change if he finds a team.

While Brown returns to school, he's looking for a way to pay for it. On Sunday, reports indicated that he was filing grievances, alongside the NFLPA,  to recoup $61 million from the Patriots and Oakland Raiders. Both teams released him and were able to void his guaranteed money due to conduct detrimental to the team/off-the-field issues.

Brown likely won't return to the NFL in 2019. If he wants a chance to play in 2020, he'll have to participate with the league.
