Prior to trading Von Miller to the Los Angeles Rams for a 2022 2nd round and 3rd round pick, the Denver Broncos were in talks with two other Super Bowl contenders for the future Hall of Famers services.

According to FOX Sports' Peter Schrager, the Broncos were in discussions with the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills regarding the potential trade of Von Miller.

The Bills landing Miller seems like a far-fetched idea, seeing as Denver would be trading him in-conference to a team that is expected to be a formidable opponent for many years to come. The writing is on the wall for John Elway and the Denver Broncos organization; it's time to rebuild. Knowing that if you successfully create a team that can compete in a few years, unless Josh Allen takes a turn for the worse, the Bills are going to be competing for AFC supremacy and you don't want Miller to be an obstacle. Also, it is unlikely the Bills were willing to give up very much to get him, seeing as the front seven is a strength for Buffalo already, it doesn't stand out as one of their bigger needs.

Dallas, on the other hand, makes a lot more sense. Seeing as the NFC has elite quarterbacks leading all of the contenders, adding a future Hall of Fame pass rusher can only help.

Dallas is expected to get DeMarcus Lawrence back this season, but injuries to the Cowboys defense has been a problem for many years.  Come playoffs, you might have to go through Aaron Rodgers, Kyler Murray and Matthew Stafford just to reach a Super Bowl. Dak Prescott would have loved to have him help slow down opposing quarterbacks, instead, he might have to face him.
