Phillip Dorsett may have had a rough year in 2019, but that isn't stopping the wide receiver from drawing interest on the open market.

Dorsett has told Josina Anderson of ESPN that five teams have already expressed interest in him, with the wide out naming the New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders as the interested parties.

“I just want to come in and have a great opportunity to play and showcase how I can really flourish as a player,” said Dorsett.

NFL free agency does not officially begin until Wednesday, but teams are now legally permitted to speak to impending free agents about potential deals.

Dorsett has spent the past three seasons with the New England Patriots and is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played 14 games and caught 29 passes for 397 yards and five touchdowns.

Due to the Patriots' rather thin receiving corps, Dorsett was expected to have a bigger impact this past season, but he was never able to materialize.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Miami, was originally selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round (29th pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Dorsett appeared in just 11 contests during his rookie season, logging 18 catches for 225 yards and a score. The following year, Dorsett participated in 15 games and was a bit more productive, snaring 33 balls for 528 yards while reaching the end zone twice.

However, just before the start of the 2017 campaign, the Colts traded Dorsett to the Patriots for quarterback Jacoby Brissett, as Andrew Luck was out with a shoulder injury.

In three years with New England, Dorsett totaled 73 grabs for 881 yards and eight touchdowns.
