When NFL free agency began, Jadeveon Clowney was arguably one of the best players on the market. However, nearly months later, he still remains unsigned. Nevertheless, according to Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network, Clowney now has two preferred destinations: the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints.

“I was told the two teams on top of Clowney's list, as far as where he would like to end up, are the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints. He would definitely help both of those teams. Both of them are a little bit cash-strapped. The Saint shave less than $9M under the cap,” Pauline reported on PFN's NFL Draft Insiders Podcast.

“The Cowboys are about $11.2M below the cap. So I don't think either of that is going to be enough to bring Clowney in. They would have to do some significant maneuvering of salary in order to bring him in for a year if in fact those teams want him. I don't know that they want him. I know that Clowney would like, wouldn't mind ending up with either the Cowboys or the Saints from what I'm told.”

As Pauline said, it's unknown whether or not the Saints or Cowboys would be interested in signing Jadeveon Clowney due to the amount of money he's demanding. Clowney is reportedly seeking $20 million annually on a multi-year deal.

Furthermore, NFL teams are said to be concerned about his durability and work ethic. This past season, Clowney suffered a sports hernia injury that caused him to miss three games. With that being said, he hasn't had the opportunity to prove he is healthy because all the required physical tests have been stopped.

Only time will tell if Clowney will be signed this offseason. At least the league now knows where he wants to go.
