The Jacksonville Jaguars have been receiving considerable trade interest in quarterback Nick Foles. But at this point, the Jaguars don't seem to be that willing to move him, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

“Teams have approached Jacksonville about Nick Foles for weeks. To date Jacksonville has been unwilling to trade him. It still feels that way. But never know what happens if another team gets aggressive.”

Jacksonville appearing to be committed to Gardner Minshew under center for 2020. Keeping Foles around wouldn't make much sense, as he would be an awfully expensive backup at $22 million.

Obviously, the jury is still out on Minshew. The second-year QB was impressive during his rookie campaign, but still has a lot to prove. The Jags could ultimately keep Foles as a precaution, but it just seems like a waste of money on the Jaguars' part.

Jacksonville signed Foles to a four-year, $88 million deal last offseason to be the club's quarterback of the future. But a Week 1 collarbone injury completely changed things.

Foles was knocked out for most of the year. He finally returned to retake his job as the starter in Week 11. However, Foles struggled mightily in three starts after returning. It resulted in Minshew capturing the starting job for good.

In four games, Foles threw for 736 yards, three touchdowns and a couple of interceptions while completing 65.8 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 84.6.

Aside from his Super Bowl run with the Philadelphia Eagles, Foles' track record as a starter is very limited. And given his contract, his trade value may not be all that high. For that reason, the Jaguars may be playing it coy to try and gain some leverage in trade discussions.
