Things are getting feisty in the NFL this weekend, and now the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals are playing the second half of their Week 13 game without key players.

The Dolphins are without cornerback Xavien Howard, while the Bengals don't have wide receiver Tyler Boyd for the rest of the game after the two players were ejected for throwing punches:

The incident happened with just over a minute left in the second quarter, with both players on the sidelines after a penalty. Howard and Boyd were staring at each other before an exchange as their teammates tried to separate them, although the fight didn't appear to be a serious one.

The 2-8-1 Bengals went into the half with a 7-6 lead over the 7-4 Dolphins, who are trying to make the NFL Playoffs. Miami took a 13-7 lead early in the third quarter courtesy of a Tua Tagovailoa touchdown pass. Tagovailoa has bounced back nicely after missing last game with a thumb injury and getting benched the week before that.

The Dolphins increased their lead to 16-7 later in the third quarter.

Before the ejection, the 26-year-old Boyd scored his fourth touchdown of the season, which was a 72-yard score in the first quarter to give Cincinnati an early lead. This turned out to be his only catch of the day.

The 27-year-old Howard had four tackles, one pass deflected, and one interception of Bengals quarterback Brandon Allen before being ejected. It was the eighth interception of the season for Howard, which leads the NFL. Unfortunately, his day was cut short due to this fight, so Miami's defense is going to have to step up without him in the lineup.

Howard and Boyd are the 17th and 18th players to be ejected from an NFL game this season.
