Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowl defensive end Chandler Jones has donated 150,000 meals to Arizona along with his hometown of Endicott, New York, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, in an effort to assist families impacted by the outbreak and spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Jones', 30, compelling action of selflessness follows a week after the Cardinals organization made a $1 million donation to a relief fund in the local community affected by coronavirus.

Jones has spent the last four seasons in his NFL tenure with the Cardinals after initially being selected in the first round of the 2012 draft by the New England Patriots out of Syracuse University. While he competed for the Patriots, Jones earned his first Pro Bowl selection and won a Super Bowl with the dynasty franchise before being traded to the NFC West team for guard Jonathan Cooper and a second-round pick. The next year, Arizona franchise tagged the defensive end and later agreed to a five-year contract extension worth a massive $82.5 million.
Jones is from the Upstate New York area and graduated from Union-Endicott High School, later attending college at nearby Syracuse.
Jones also joins New Orleans Saints superstar veteran quarterback Drew Brees in contributing to the courageous healthcare professionals and other support staff fighting the spread of COVID-19 along with individuals and families suffering from the infectious virus. Brees announced on Thursday a $5 million donation to a local food bank, and along with Jones' support for victims of coronavirus, the NFL has produced a number of generous players in recent days.
