The hot rumor right now is that the Arizona Cardinals will take Kyler Murray with the first overall selection of the NFL Draft next month, and FOX Sports talk-show host Colin Cowherd is hearing that that will, indeed, happen.

If the Cardinals do end up taking Murray, it would mark the second year in a row that they drafted a quarterback in the first round. Last year, Arizona chose Josh Rosen with the 10th overall pick.

Now, should the Cardinals draft Murray, they would almost surely trade Rosen, which has also been speculated throughout the media.

Rosen had a very underwhelming rookie campaign this past season, starting 13 games and throwing for 2,278 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions while completing 55.2 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 66.7.

However, Rosen's value is not thought to be too high at the moment, with an anonymous general manager and former Cardinals signal-caller Kurt Warner telling Peter King of NBC Sports that Rosen would likely only fetch a third-round pick in a trade.

Even if that ends up being the case, it might be worth it for the Cards if they truly think that highly of Murray.

Murray is certainly one of the most intriguing prospects we have seen in some time. A multi-sport athlete, the 21-year-old was also selected by the Oakland Athletics in the first round of the MLB Draft last June, but Murray seems to be leaning toward football.

In his final season at Oklahoma, Murray threw for 4,361 yards, 42 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while completing 69 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 199.2.
