Bidwell told Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Friday morning that he and Murray spoke on Thursday night. During that conversation, the Cardinals owner expressed his sentiment that he sees Murray as the long-term answer for the franchise. “Put me in the corner of ‘I love him,' and I know he is going to get better… the structure of it, the timing of it, it's a complicated process and it takes some time… Kyler is part of our long term plan.”

Murray missed approximately a month with injury this past season, and never regained his MVP form after returning. That prompted the discussions within media circles that Murray's checkered injury history along with his style of play might be problematic.

Murray complicated matters by erasing all mention of the Arizona Cardinals from his social media accounts. The franchise then returned the favor, setting off what many believed to be a war between the two sides. However, it appears as that is all water beneath the bridge now.
