The Buffalo Bills have already faced shifty opposing quarterbacks such as Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson and Cam Newton this season. However, none of those signal-callers are quite like Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, according to Bills head coach Sean McDermott.

While Mahomes, Wilson and Newton are all exceptionally mobile and capable of making plays with their feet, McDermott said the Cardinals QB poses a different challenge because he has an even higher level of speed and quickness.

Murray has been one of the top quarterbacks in football this season. The former No. 1 overall pick has completed over 68 percent of his pass attempts for over 2,100 yards and 16 touchdowns against just seven interceptions for the Cardinals this season.

As good as the passing numbers are, the young Cardinals star has been that much more dangerous on the ground. He leads all rushers at 7.1 yards per carry, with his 543 yards nearly surpassing last year's total (544). Murray has also scored eight rushing touchdowns.

In fact, Kyler Murray, still so young in his NFL career with the Cardinals, had arguably been more impressive through the first eight games of the year than Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was during his MVP 2019 season.

Buffalo's defense is also catching Murray at the worst possible time.

The former Oklahoma star is coming off his best game of the season against the Miami Dolphins. Murray completed 21 of 26 pass attempts for 283 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing 11 times for 106 yards and a score.

Arizona is barely clinging to second place in a tight NFC West division, and will be hungry to make a statement in what could be a high-scoring affair against the Bills.

McDermott understands it will be quite difficult to keep Cardinals gunslinger Kyler Murray in check.
