Everybody might need to pump the brakes. The Kyler Murray to the Cardinals hype train has gotten a bit out of control, as most people have been acting like it's a foregone conclusion Arizona will take Murray with the first overall pick.

That's apparently not the case, as Peter King of NBC Sports writes that there is no “unanimity” in the Cardinals' front office about what to do with the pick.

King writes that taking Murray, trading down with a team that wants to take Murray, or taking a pass-rusher like Nick Bosa are still all real possibilities.

It's unclear who will have the final say between general manager Steve Keim and head coach Kliff Kingsbury, and what would happen if they disagreed on what to do with the pick.

Until now everyone has been assuming the organization is united on what to do with the pick, but that might not be the case.

The Cardinals' intentions have never been fully clear. They've managed to seemingly shop Josh Rosen, without ever shopping him. Even teams that are interested have said they aren't really sure if Rosen is available.

For what it's worth, Rosen did report to the beginning of the team's offseason program, although the team made sure not to make him available to the media.

At this point, it would still be a little surprising if the pick ultimately wasn't Murray.

But it's also possible the Cardinals have just been playing an elaborate chess game this whole team to get a team, like the Raiders or Giants, to give up a huge package for the first pick.
