For the first three seasons of his NFL career, Jalen Ramsey saw DeAndre Hopkins twice a year.
That was because both players played in the AFC South, with Ramsey being a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Hopkins donning a Houston Texans uniform.
However, Ramsey faced Hopkins just once in 2019, as he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams ahead of Week 4.
But now, after Hopkins' trade to the Arizona Cardinals, the foes are division rivals again out in the NFC West, and Ramsey is looking forward to the challenge of covering the stud wide receiver again.
The cornerback took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a hype video about his rivalry renewal with Hopkins, captioning it as “Respect is mutual, but we gotta get after it!!”

Ramsey and Hopkins are among the best in the NFL at their respective positions.
Since entering the NFL with the Jaguars in 2016, Ramsey has made three trips to the Pro Bowl while also earning a First-Team All-Pro selection.
The 25-year-old is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played 12 games between Jacksonville and Los Angeles, finishing with 50 tackles, an interception, a couple of forced fumbles and five passes defended en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.
Meanwhile, Hopkins broke into the league with the Texans back in 2013 and has since made four Pro Bowls while notching First-Team All-Pro honors three times.
During his final season with Houston in 2019, Hopkins hauled in 104 receptions for 1,165 yards and seven touchdowns, earning his fourth straight Pro Bowl spot and third consecutive First-Team All-Pro selection.
