Former Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell is reportedly expecting to get an interview with the Atlanta Falcons for the same position.

Bevell served in the role with the Seahawks for six years before being fired back in January.

Now, with the Falcons firing former offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian on Monday as a part of numerous changes made on the coaching staff, they find themselves in the market for a new leader on offense.

And, it appears that Bevell's connection with head coach Dan Quinn could allow him to have an opportunity to showcase his offensive talents in Atlanta, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Quinn spent several seasons with the Seahawks, so it makes sense that he would at least consider Bevell a possible option now that Atlanta needs a new coordinator.

The Falcons were one of the most disappointing teams in the league this season in finishing 7-9 overall, which looks a bit better than it actually was for the majority of the year after they won their final three games of the regular season.

So, it makes complete sense as to why the team went the route of making big changes on the coaching staff. While injuries played a role this season, there was too much inconsistent play for the Falcons to ever be serious contenders.

This is undoubtedly going to be a crucial offseason for the franchise, as it has to replace its offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, and special teams coach before looking to get back on track during the 2019 season.
