Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick played well against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Despite that, as well as a victory, he fears he might end up a meme before the week is over.
Dre Kirkpatrick accomplished a rather weird feat on Sunday. He intercepted a football, ran for 100 yards and then — through magic, I suppose — failed to score a touchdown.
Mathematically speaking, that is nearly impossible, but don't forget that the National Football League does count yardage if the “run” begins in an endzone.

That’s the first thing I said. He’s going crazy. And if I hadn’t of gotten that ball, ain’t no way I’m going to walk to that sideline with him. No way. No way.”
In what could have been a disastrous moment had the Bengals failed to score and then lost, Kirkpatrick lost control of the football while looking back to see if any Denver defenders were near him. That happened around the 15 yard line. He managed to scoop up the football near the one, but not being able to cross the goal line, Cincy had to rely on a pass to finish off that scoring opportunity.
Anyway, you need not worry about becoming a meme here, Dre Kirkpatrick. We have your back on these mean social media streets. Just stop fumbling the football on what are otherwise easy touchdowns.
