The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills played one of the most memorable playoff games of all time this past season, an instant classic that featured two of the game's best quarterbacks, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes going pass-for-pass. Given the fact that Mahomes has knocked Allen out of the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, one would think that the Bills star would have some feelings of animosity aimed at his Chiefs' peer. However, that couldn't be further from the truth. Allen kept it real when discussing his friendship with Mahomes, per Pro Football Talk.

“And you know, sure enough, we go up and we hung out for an hour and a half, two hours, just kind of hanging around, talking, having a good time,” Allen said, via Ed Easton Jr. of USA Today. “I’ve spent a couple of times around Patrick, but every time I’m around him, he’s just a great dude. He’s a great personality. He’s fun to be around. And obviously, all the respect that I have from on the field, I think it’s a different vibe than what people think.”

Allen said that the two hung out together after Mahomes Facetimed him asking to hang out, seeing as the Bills star and the Chiefs signal-caller were both in Miami for an F1 race.

Allen said that the vibe he has with Mahomes is “different than what people think.” The two seem to have more of a friendly rivalry rather than a I'd-cut-off-my-arm-to-beat-him type of dynamic.

However, that doesn't mean that the two don't get competitive when it's time to step onto the field. It has all the makings of the NFL's next great quarterback rivalry- and friendship.
