The Buffalo Bills offense has been hard to stop in their first two games of the season. The team scored a 27-17 win against the New York Jets in their opening game followed by a tight 31-28 victory against the Miami Dolphins.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen credited the team's success to his dangerous receiving corps who were responsible for scoring a bevy of points in their victories thus far.
“We believe and we trust our guys outside,” he said, via the Buffalo News. “I don’t think there’s many teams that can keep up with all of them. That was just what was happening and what was working early on, and we just kept going back to it and had some success.”
The gunslinger continued to show the way for the team via his 417 passing yards on a 24-of-35 clip along with 4 touchdown passes. Veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs accounted for a total of 153 receiving yards on 8 receptions along with a scored touchdown. Pass-catcher John Brown tallied 82 yards on 4 touches and a score on the endzone for the Bills as well.
Nine-year veteran receiver Cole Beasley followed with 70 receiving yards on his own while fourth-year wideout Isaiah McKenzie also drew 47 receiving yards on 2 receptions in their win against the Dolphins on Sunday.
With a better supporting cast around Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills are seemingly all in on their goal to finally win the AFC East divisional crown this season. The team will aim to keep their winning streak alive as they host the undefeated Los Angeles Rams on September 27.
