The Buffalo Bills won the biggest game of the season on Sunday. They defeated their division rival, the New England Patriots 33-21 on the road. With the win, Buffalo surpassed the Patriots in the AFC East standings, via a better divisional record. The Bills are 4-1 in divisional play, New England is 3-2. They split the season series.
The Bills now control their own destiny. If they win their final two games against the Atlanta Falcons and the New York Jets, they win the AFC East and host a playoff game.
After the game, Bills quarterback Josh Allen spoke to the media about the team's position heading down the stretch.
Josh Allen: "We're where we want to be right now. We have to continue to find ways to win football games and take advantage of our opportunities and playoff caliber mindset."

It has been a topsy turvy season for Buffalo. After beating the Kansas City Chiefs early in the season, the Bills were the favorites to make the Super Bowl from the AFC. A few weeks later, they were holding onto their playoff lives. In their Week 13 loss to the Patriots, it looked like the division was all but lost.
All of a sudden, the team sits on top of the AFC East and is primed for another deep playoff run.
Josh Allen had another outstanding game for the Bills. He finished 30 for 47, for 314 yards passing and three touchdowns. Allen also led the team with 64 yards rushing on 12 carries.
The Bills host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17.
