The Buffalo Bills could be in the market for a running back this offseason and they could find themselves signing Melvin Gordon. According to Matt Parrino, a beat writer for the Bills, there is mutual interest between Buffalo and Gordon.
A source tells me the #Bills have spoken to Melvin Gordon's reps and there's interest on both sides. Stay tuned #BillsMafia.
On the heels of the Stefon Diggs trade, adding Gordon would be something. https://t.co/tTI8TDUKCM

Last offseason, Gordon chose to holdout from the Los Angeles Chargers ahead of training camp. The former first-round pick was seeking a deal that made him one of the highest-paid running backs in the NFL.
However, the Chargers refused to give him more than $10 million a season and he ended his holdout early in the 2019 season. After failing to get an extension from Los Angeles, Gordon is attempting to land a multi-year contract in free agency this offseason.
Up to this point, there haven't been any teams willing to sign Gordon for the price he's looking for. With that being said, the Bills could be a team that signs him for a reasonable price if he chooses to settle for less than what he's been looking for.
This past season, Gordon rushed for 612 yards on 162 attempts and found the end zone a total of nine times. The 3.8 yards per attempt was the lowest mark of his career since his rookie season in 2015.
For the Bills, signing Gordon would give them a complimentary option with Devin Singletary. Singletary flashed a ton of upside as a rookie in 2019, producing 969 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns.
Earlier this week, the Bills made a splash move to acquire Stefon Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings. If the price is right, Gordon could be an intriguing option for Buffalo's revamped offense in 2020.
