The Buffalo Bills are locked into the No. 5 seed in the AC no matter what happens this weekend, and Sean McDermott is unsure if he will play his starters. McDermott said that he has a lot of things to consider, and a lot of options to weigh before he decides who will play against the New York Jets.
He said he has to decide if the risk of injuries that could happen is worth trying to improve his team and get better for the playoffs.

Some of it is the injuries, some of it is us improving as a football team. So, we’re still working through that and then the team’s not in today so we’ll be back tomorrow. So, we’ll continue to work through that as a team and go from there.”
Improving the team is always important but it's hard to imagine McDermott wants to risk injury to any of their star players in a meaningless football game. If McDermott does decide to send out everyone and no one gets hurt, it would be considered a win because of the extra reps everyone got, especially with the offense.
If McDermott ran everyone out there and someone like Devin Singletary or Josh Allen did get hurt, the coach would get a lot of heat and for good reason.
Maybe McDermott should treat it like a preseason game and send the starters out for a series or two before lettting them watch the rest of the game from the bench.
