The Buffalo Bills are on to the second round of the playoffs after taking care of the Indianapolis Colts last Saturday. As the stakes continue to rise, every injury to a club becomes game-changing, and the Bills are seeing that first hand with the news of Zack Moss.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Bills will be without the services of Moss for the remainder of the postseason after sustaining an ankle injury against the Colts last week:
#Bills RB Zack Moss is out for the postseason following an ankle injury suffered in last week’s win over the #Colts, source said. @MikeGarafolo had reported that was the fear, and it’s reality.

Moss was present and active for most of the game against the Colts. Yet as the fourth quarter got underway, the 23-year old halfback took a pummeling from multiple bodies as he laid on the turf, leading to him being eventually carted off the field. He finished the game with 21 rushing yards from seven carries. He also fared off well in the passing game, catching four targets for 26 receiving yards.
Moss was second on the Bills club in rushing yards behind Devin Singletary. While Singletary will continue to see the bulk of the snaps from the backfield, it was widely assumed that Moss would be the ring leader before long. Moss finished the season with 481 rushing yards from 112 carries, far fewer attempts than Singletary. Even so, Moss was able to find his way into the endzone four times during the regular season compared to Singletary's two touchdowns.
Competition aside, the Bills will need Singletary along with some additional help from the backfield if they plan to hold off the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday.
