Buffalo Bills players were not happy Sunday after a block by Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry that they deemed to be dirty, even though it wasn't penalized.
Bills rookie safety Taron Johnson was blown up by Landry on a crackback-style block and the rookie was slow to get up after the play.

“Landry, he's a good receiver, physical guy, but some of those plays that he has — Aaron Williams, Taron, I'm pretty sure he has other ones — I just think they're dirty,” Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander said Sunday via ESPN. “Coming from the outside of the box in, the league needs to do a better job of calling penalties on those types of plays. Obviously, defenders get called all the time on stuff that is probably less egregious than that. If we're going to protect our football players, we need to protect everybody, not just offensive guys.
Johnson was able to walk off the field on his own power after the hit and said that Landry did later apologize to him for the hit. Bills safety Micah Hyde also called out not just Landry but also the league. Hyde pointed out that if a defensive player did that to an offensive player they would have been ejected but Landry wasn't even called for anything on the play.
“To me, that's B.S. You can't do that. All you have to do is get into position, screen him off. He doesn't have to come in and try to kill anybody.”
There is still a chance that Landry could be fined for the play but that still probably won't be enough to make Bills players forget about the play.
