The Carolina Panthers are heading into their Week 10 matchup against the Green Bay Packers looking to make a major statement. With a 5-3 record entering this matchup, the Panthers can prove that they are legitimate playoff contenders in the NFC with a win over one of the top Super Bowl contenders.
Kyle Allen is set to start for the remainder of the season after Cam Newton was placed on injured reserve due to a foot injury. He has taken over for Newton in impressive fashion, although there have been some questions regarding his decision-making. Despite those questions, the Panthers need their offense to fire on all cylinders.
Carolina also will need their defense to step up against Aaron Rodgers. They have had a good pass rush all season long and they have some talent at linebacker and in the secondary.
All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look at three bold predictions for the Panthers against Green Bay.
4. Kyle Allen Will Outplay Aaron Rodgers
Let's start by making a strong prediction about quarterback Kyle Allen, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury. Despite the ailment, Allen is going to put together a good performance for the Panthers.
By outplaying Rodgers, we don't mean that Allen is going to throw for more yardage or touchdowns. What we do mean, however, is that he is going to be much more efficient and will make less mistakes. Allen will take care of the football and will make some key plays late in the game against a talented Green Bay defense.
3. Carolina Will Sack Rodgers At Least 5 Times
As previously mentioned, the Panthers have a very good pass rush and are capable of getting to the quarterback. Entering Week 10 action, Carolina is leading the league in sacks with 34. They are going to have another big-time defensive performance this week.

When everything is said and done, the Panthers are going to get to Rodgers at least five times. The Packers have seen their offensive line improve this season, but they are still holes. Carolina will exploit those weaknesses by putting Rodgers on the ground consistently throughout the game.
2. Christian McCaffrey Will Rack Up 150 Total Yards, Two Touchdowns
There is no question that Christian McCaffrey is one of the best running backs in the game. In fact, there are arguments that can be made for him being the best running back in the game. He will show why once again this week against a Packers' defense that has given up quite a few big games to opposing running backs.
McCaffrey will end up recording 150 total yards to go along with two touchdowns. He may not do a ton of damage on the ground, but his ability to make plays as a receiver will come into play this week. Green Bay doesn't have a good matchup for him and it will burn them this week.
1. The Panthers Will Pull Out A Hard-Fought Victory
Finally, the Panthers are going to be able to pull out a hard-fought victory on the road at Lambeau Field. Green Bay is a very difficult team to beat at home, but the Panthers will be able to do just that. It isn't going to be an easy game and it will come down to the wire, but Carolina will make the necessary plays down the stretch.
Coming through with a win this big is exactly what the Panthers need to get back on track and prove that they can contend. Who would have thought that without Newton, Carolina might actually be a better team? Well, Allen and company are ready to prove that this week.
