The Cincinnati Bengals have announced on Thursday that they have decided to bring back offensive tackle Andre Smith.

This will be Smith's third stint with the Bengals after originally being drafted by Cincinnati sixth overall back in 2009. Smith played for the Bengals from 209-15 before leaving to sign with the Minnesota Vikings in 2016.

Smith played and started four games for the Vikings before returning to the Bengals. Smith then played in eight games this season for the Arizona Cardinals, but was released this week. The Bengals are currently thin on the offensive line with Jake Fisher and Cordy Glenn's recent injuries, according to Josh Alper of Pro Footbal Talk.

Smith will surely be placed right into action due to Cincinnati's injury woes, but this is the least of the Bengals issues at the moment. The Bengals have lost three straight games and are fighting an  uphill battle to stay relevant in the AFC North. The Steelers are still in first place, while the Ravens and the Browns have been competitive. Smith may provide some much-needed support now that quarterback Andy Dalton is done for the season. Now with third-year man Jake Driskel under center, the young quarterback will need all the help he can get this Sunday against a tough Denver defense.

Things are tough as it is for opposing teams at Mile High Stadium, so Smith will look to get back into the swing of things and take advantage of his reunion with Cincinnati.
