Ja'Marr Chase has been, to put it simply, a beast for the Cincinnati Bengals. The rookie out of LSU has been just the kind of receiving threat quarterback Joe Burrow needs.

In the Bengals' overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Chase became the fifth rookie wide receiver since the merger to post 1,000 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. He joins a collection of four other players, all of whom are multi-time Pro Bowlers.

Chase has recorded 60 catches, 1,035 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, all of which lead Cincinnati, through 13 games. His yardage and scores rank near the top for all wide receivers, not just those in their first year.

The connection between him and Burrow has plenty of room to grow — Burrow leads the league in interceptions and Chase has dropped more than his fair share of passes. Despite the struggles, the duo has the potential to be among the most dynamic in the league for Cincinnati.

When Chase was drafted, the Bengals received lots of flack for not prioritizing Burrow's protection after he got injured his rookie year. Although Penei Sewell and Rashawn Slater — the offensive tackles drafted after Chase — have been as good as advertised, Chase has been stupendous and played a huge part on an impressive team that is in the playoff hunt.
