The pro debut for Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was on the verge of potentially getting off to an ideal start. Unfortunately, a shanked field goal robbed them of a chance to push overtime with the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2020 NFL season opener.
Burrow's final drive of the game was spoiled due to a missed 31-yard field goal attempt by kicker Randy Bullock (via NFL on ClutchPoints):

Burrow managed to reach the end zone on a quarterback draw for his first career touchdown. However, had had largely struggled to find his footing in the passing game after throwing for just 162 yards until the final drive.
Fortunately, he was able to perform when it mattered by going 62 yards to put the Bengals in field goal position to tie the game.
Although Cincinnati may have fallen short this time around, they can take solace in the fact that there was a silver lining to take away from the loss thanks to Burrow.
