Baker Mayfield is still on the Cleveland Browns, but his potential exit is certainly looming given how things have played out for both team and player the past few days.
Mayfield issued a heartfelt message to Cleveland amid all the trade rumors. But he did emphasize that it didn't come with a “hidden meaning” and instead was meant as a thank you to the fan base while his future remains clouded.
The Browns, meanwhile, have their sights set on Deshaun Watson and look ready to move on from Baker Mayfield if an opportunity presents itself, Watson or otherwise.
But not everyone sounds sappy and sentimental about the potential end of the Baker Mayfield era in Cleveland. One player in particular who seems pretty ready to clown on the QB is former Browns running back Duke Johnson.
Johnson didn't need any words, instead posting a GIF of a crashed train burning around a pile of rubble and injured passengers. He's clearly still seething over Mayfield's comments against him back in 2019 that were, well, train-related.

“You’re either on this train or you’re not, it’s moving. You can get out of the way or you can join us,” said Mayfield speaking out on Duke Johnson.
Johnson was lobbying to get traded during the lead up to the 2019 season. While he did show up to Browns mini-camp and was vocal about not being a distraction, the stand didn't sit well with Baker Mayfield. Johnson was eventually moved to the Houston Texans for a fourth-round pick.
“It’s not awkward,” Baker later stated matter-of-factly. “It’s self-inflicted. It is what it is. It’s not awkward for anybody else in this building … He’s got to do his job. He’s a professional and I hope he does his job.”
There's certainly no love lost between the two former Browns teammates.
