Former offensive line coach Bob Wylie is not so fond of current Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens. Speaking on the radio program “The Zach Gelb Show” on CBS Sports Radio on Saturday, the 68-year-old Wylie claimed quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese was behind Baker Mayfield and the breakout Browns offense.

“Baker (Mayfield) likes Freddie,” Wylie said on The Zach Gelb Show on CBS Sports Radio. “There’s a good relationship there even though (former Browns QB coach) Kenny Zampese did all the coaching there. Baker likes Freddie, so that had to (factor) into the decision.

“(But) Freddie didn’t have any coordinator experience or head coaching experience.”

Also referencing the coordinates' collective firing after Kitchens was hired, Wylie expressed bitterness in the harsh move.

“(It was like) ‘thank you guys, you guys did a great job. Thanks for helping me get the interview, okay? but I’m going to take this job and you guys are going to become collateral damage, that’s what will happen,'” Wylie said.

In the revealing and brass interview, Wylie revealed a few inner-workings of the Cleveland organization, including hearing he lost his job from his daughter while he was recovering from an ankle injury in a hospital.

Wylie, who was made famous with frequent viral moments on HBO's “Hard Knocks” with the Cleveland Browns last year, has coached in the NFL since 1990. He's spent time with the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, and four more NFL teams other than Cleveland.
