The Cleveland Browns certainly didn't have the season that they were hoping for this year as they missed the playoffs with an 8-9 record while finishing in third place in the AFC North.
A team that has as much talent as the Browns do are always expected to make the playoffs and potentially even make a deep run. They had downplay throughout their entire roster this season including Baker Mayfield who had the worst season that he has had as an NFL quarterback.
Baker was going through some injuries and he is going to have surgery sometime soon. There have been some rumors that the head coach of the Browns, Kevin Stefanski, and Baker were not getting along together but the Browns head coach put that to rest.
According to Nate Ulrich, a Cleveland Browns beat reporter for Beacon Journal, Browns head coach Stefanski had this to say about Baker Mayfield,
Article Continues BelowWe were inconsistent at times and we need to string better play together as team and individuals, I've seen him play at very high level, confident he'll have surgery, get healthy and bounce back
Although many Browns fans do not want Baker back in Cleveland, this isn't necessarily a bad thing and does show that the team doesn't have to make any major moves this offseason.
The Cleveland Browns have plenty of talent on their roster and at this point, it's more about just figuring out how they can start playing better on the field. Once they do, they will start to find a lot of success.
