“Anytime I can get on that field and make something happen, between running the football and blocking, I'm gonna give it 110 every time … I'm ready to get out there and do whatever they ask.”
Hunt, 24, entered the league as a third-round selection by the Chiefs in the 2017 NFL Draft. As a rookie, the Toledo product led the league in rushing yards, recording over 1,300 yards on the ground in 16 games, scoring eight touchdowns during his first season.
Hunt was released by the Chiefs in Nov. 2018, though, after the discovery of a tape of the Ohio native assaulting a woman. Following the NFL's investigation, Hunt was slapped with an eight-game suspension for violating the league's conduct policy. The Browns signed him in February 2019.
Making his debut for the Browns on Nov. 10, 2019, Hunt rushed for 30 yards on four carries along with chipping in 44 receiving yards on four catches in a three-point Week 9 win against the Buffalo Bills at home. He finished the season amassing 179 rushing yards and 285 receiving yards for three total touchdowns in eight games.
