Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. suffered what appears to be a serious knee injury in the second half of Saturday's road game versus the Baltimore Ravens. He was carted off the field, with his leg being placed in an air cast, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The rookie was promptly ruled out for the remainder of the matchup.

Hall's first NFL season ends in brutal fashion. The team can only hope that his injury is not as severe as it initially looked. There was not much positivity surrounding the scene in real time, though. He finished his night with two total tackles and a quarterback hit.

The 21-year-old out of Ohio State was placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List after being arrested for domestic violence in August. The charge was reduced to disorderly conduct, and he plead no contest in September. Hall was given a 30-day suspended jail sentence, placed on probation for two years and fined $250. The NFL doled out its own punishment, suspending him for five games.

If his knee injury is as serious as people anticipate, the second-round draft pick could be facing another abbreviated season. He recorded 12 combined tackles, one sack, three tackles for loss and five QB hits in seven games for the Browns.

The team's issues extend beyond health, but its defense has sustained a number of injuries in 2024-25. Reigning MVP and Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson actually struggled a bit, though, completing 13-of-29 passes for only 159 yards. He still managed to make some incredible NFL history and threw two touchdowns while rushing for 62 yards.

Baltimore leads 21-10 in the fourth quarter at time of print. The Browns will likely finish with a 3-14 record, their worst since the infamous winless 2017-18 season.
