The Cleveland Browns managed to revamp their offense once again with the addition of tight end Austin Hooper in free agency. Unfortunately, it has since been followed up with rumors of tight end David Njoku's request for a trade ahead of the 2020 NFL season.

There has been some speculation regarding Njoku's immediate future in Cleveland. He recently took to Twitter to express his love for the city itself:

“I want to make something very clear. I love the city of Cleveland with all my heart. This game is filled with a lot of complications but don’t think for a second that I don’t love and appreciate Cleveland and all that it has done for me”

Although Njoku may be looking for a change-of-scenery leading up to the 2020 campaign, he is clearly making efforts to ensure he remains on good terms with Cleveland and its communities. Of course, it only helps solidify the notion that he could be on his way out in the near future.

The Browns selected Njoku in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and he started to follow up on his promise by finishing the 2018 season with 56 catches for 639 yards and four touchdowns. Unfortunately, injuries and the team's tumultuous season under former head coach Freddie Kitchens took its tool, and the events that followed have led to his looming departure.

It remains to be seen just how much interest Cleveland has received for Njoku on the market. Regardless, his comments indicate that a move could be in the works.
