The Indianapolis Colts were back in Super Bowl contention last season. Quarterback Andrew Luck's return immediately made them a legitimate threat again. Owner Jim Irsay seems to believe so, at least. He guaranteed they'll bring another Super Bowl title back to Indianapolis.
Colts owner Jim Irsay is making a guarantee on bringing another Super Bowl title to Indianapolis. "It will happen," he said. "I promise you it well. I have never felt so certain about something in my life.” https://t.co/qOkFDOyQn6

I think it's safe to say Jim Irsay is feeling good about where the Indianapolis Colts are as a franchise right now. It should be clarified, though, that the quote never specifies what year the Colts will win. Therefore, it's not as though he's saying Indianapolis is winning in 2019.
The Colts definitely are in a good spot for the future. Andrew Luck returned from injury and looked elite.
Luck has some fantastic weapons in Eric Ebron and T.Y. Hilton. Those two make the Indianapolis offense one of most dangerous in the entire NFL.
Indianapolis also drafted Darius Leonard last season. He quickly turned into a major piece for the defense.
The Colts have also made some fantastic picks this NFL Draft that should have an immediate impact on the team.
Cornerback Rock Ya-Sin vastly improves the secondary from the jump, while Ben Banogu and Bobby Okereke are great additions to the linebacker corps.
Meanwhile, Parris Campbell brings ridiculous speed to the offense and is another potentially elite target for Luck to throw to. Campbell will be able to catch the ball in space out of the backfield while the receivers stretch the field deep, but Campbell could also be used on downfield wheel routes and can be deployed in all sorts of ways by Frank Reich, one of the better chess players among NFL tacticians.
It's definitely no stretch to say the Indianapolis Colts are trending toward Super Bowl contention. They won nine of ten games to end the regular season last year and improved this offseason.
Jim Irsay might be on to something with his guarantee.
