Dez Bryant turned down a $5 million offer from the Cleveland Browns, and it made some wonder precisely what the former Dallas Cowboys star is thinking. His former teammate Cole Beasley jumped to his defense on Twitter and said people need to not bash Bryant for what he is doing unless they know the whole story.

“1. Dez knows exactly who he is. 2. Money is not important to Dez at this point in his career. Not why he said no to that offer. If you don’t know anything about it don’t speak on it. From outside looking in it’s impossible to know anything in this business.”

Bryant could be waiting until the season starts and a significant injury happens and hopes that a team comes calling then. The veteran has expressed that he will play this season, but it doesn't seem there is a ton of interest in his services, at least at this point.

Dez Bryant is only 29 years old but as an NFL player that usually means there aren't many years left in his legs. If he doesn't get on the field this year and takes a year off it's going to be even harder to make an NFL comeback.

Father Time only gives someone so much time to play the game they love, and for Bryant, it appears his clock might be ticking faster.
