Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are fresh off of a huge victory on Thursday night against the New Orleans Saints. They ended up winning the game by a final score of 13-10. After a rough start to the season, Prescott and the Cowboys' offense have turned things around and now look like contenders in the NFC.

Even though the Cowboys came up with a big win, there are still some issues that they need to fix. One of those issues has to do with protecting Prescott, who has received a lot of criticism this season.

According to a report from Pro Football Talk, Prescott has been sacked 45 times so far this season. That number is far and above other sack totals on quarterbacks.

He has never seen this kind of pressure throughout his career, as noted by the article.

Prescott has already been sacked far more this season than he was sacked in either his rookie year (25 sacks) or his second year (32 sacks) even though he threw far more passes in those two seasons than he’s thrown so far this season.

Prescott may have received a lot of criticism, but he has not been too bad this season.

In the 12 games that he has played for the Cowboys this season, Prescott has completed 66.8 percent of his pass attempts for 2,675 yards, 14 touchdowns, and five touchdowns. He has also rushed for 301 yards and five touchdowns this season.

Dallas has remained completely dedicated to Prescott this season even with the fans calling for him to be benched. Jerry Jones, in particular, has voiced support for his starting quarterback on multiple occasions.

Next up for the Cowboys will be a Week 14 matchup at home against the Philadelphia Eagles.
