Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has not been able to get much work in at practice heading into the 2019 NFL season finale versus the Washington Redskins. It appears that will not change going into the weekend.

Prescott has been nursing a shoulder injury he suffered in Week 15. Head coach Jason Garrett says he will not get any extra practice time in before the game.

According to Pro Football Talk, Garrett told Cowboys reporters that he wouldn't do much on Friday and may not do anything at all. Dallas listed him as a non-participant all week with the shoulder injury, and that may not change in the last weekday of the week.

Prescott's lack of participation in practice is hardly an encouraging sign. Regardless, the decision is likely Dallas trying to take a cautious approach while he continues to recover. He was a limited participant last week before being cleared to play versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

Unfortunately, the Cowboys playoff chances suffered a crucial blow in the 17-9 loss to the Eagles. Prescott was adamant that his injured shoulder was not the reason he struggled to find his rhythm after completing 25 of 44 passes for 265 yards. Regardless, it is safe to say that it has become an area of concern heading into the offseason.

There is no question that Dallas has fallen vastly short of expectations in the 2019 campaign. All they can do now is take care of business against Washington and hope that the New York Giants can do the same versus the Philadelphia Eagles.
