The Dallas Cowboys are hoping to take another step forward as they prepare for the 2017 NFL season. One way they can help make this leap is by Dak Prescott and Dez Bryant continuing to build chemistry on the football field.

Fortunately for the Cowboys, it appears this chemistry between franchise quarterback and star wide receiver is growing. Prescott recently spoke about the budding chemistry between the two, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News.

“He has been healthy all offseason, so that chemistry has grown,” Prescott said. “He's been a guy that his ears are wide open, wanting to know what I'm thinking, and I want to know what he's thinking. It's just been back and forth of just talking and doing it out there on the field and it's only growing.”

Over the past two seasons, Bryant has dealt with some injuries issues that have kept him out a total of 10 regular-season games. Even though he missed three games last year, Bryant still put up decent numbers with 50 catches for 796 yards and eight touchdowns.

In the team's playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers, Bryant had one of the best games of his career with nine receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

If Bryant can stay healthy and continue building on-field chemistry Prescott, the Cowboys offense could be that much better with a legitimate deep threat and go-to option for the second-year quarterback. Bryant's production will be needed more than ever with Ezekiel Elliott suspended for the first six games of the season.
